It's like all of those action movies that try to throw some technology in. "I've got to hack the internets in 5 minutes or our database hotkey will be compromised!" I have a mac and it's designed such that the escape key pretty much gets me out of anything. My F7 key shuts down all power in Chicago. Nice blog, by the way. I really enjoy reading it.
