Check Out the Alzheimer’s Memory Walk
Sponsored Post
Have you ever known anyone with Alzheimer’s? It’s a debilitating disease that practically destroys the person’s memory. But there’s something you can do to help. Sign up to be a Team Captain for the Alzheimer’s Memory Walk.
My grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s when I was 10 or 12-years-old. She lived with us for a couple of years when the disease was really beginning to take hold of her mind. It definitely wasn’t easy on any of us, especially her.
The odd thing is that when the disease finally overtook her, she found some measure of peace. She was living in a nursing home at that point, and she thought she was living back at home with her parents and siblings. She had no idea who we were, but she was probably happier than I ever knew her to be.
The bottom line is that Alzheimer’s patients need our help. We need to work together to help find a cure for this disease. Whether you have known a person with the disease or not, you should do your part.
A great way to help out is to sign up early a memory walk and be a team captain. This will put you in the position to help patients by recruiting team members and gathering donations.
This review required a positive tone, but these are my honest opinions.
