    Thanks for the site, I’m quite paranoid about visiting doctors and this is something that can make a big difference!

    I’m in the UK and have recently seen a TV programme that compared such self diagnosis kits in a small trial of 6 people. I can’t remember what all the kits were, but certainly there were kits for testing liver and kidney function and cholesterol included. The results were quite varied, but in a nutshell these things should be used very carefully and you should adhere to the instructions and small print at all times.
    Of the people who took part in the trial, some self diagnosed serious defects in themselves when in reality they had none. Be warned.

    @judith – Thanks for posting this information. That is really interesting. I hope people are careful and follow-up with lab testing, in the event they have a positive diagnosis with a home kit.

    Health Testing at home, does sound really inviting. But I would prefer to go to a doctor. Or you can have this niggling feeling behind your head that you’ve not checked right.

    I just saw the website. This makes life so much simpler for most people. Imagine having to take your son in for a drug test in the neighborhood clinic. Its not a pleasant experience. These home tests can get rid of a lot of hassle involved in such matters.
