Find Indoor Peace with a Fountain

Sitting beside a babbling brook calms the nerves. It’s a peaceful, serene feeling. Too bad babbling brooks aren’t indoors. But wait! You can bring some of those benefits inside with wall fountains.

I’m moving into my first real office next week, and I definitely plan to include a fountain in the decor. It will make my small space much more peaceful, inviting, and cozy. I would love to have a nice slate fountain like the one at right, but I will probably go for a smaller desktop fountain.

Another cool type of fountain produces a nifty, surreal mist effect. This makes the fountain sort-of pour out into the surrounding air. Spiffy!

The only downside to indoor fountains is the upkeep. But it’s really not that bad. If you unplug the fountain every night and when you’ll be away for the day, the water doesn’t evaporate too much. Just remember to add water occasionally and clean it out periodically. These simple steps will keep the fountain in perfect order.

I had a really cool fountain a year ago, but it got damaged in a move. The moral of that story is to be very careful with fountains when moving them. Carefully pack them in padding and place them in a sturdy box. Then be sure to mark “fragile” on the box. That should ensure the safety of your awesome fountain.

This review required a positive tone, but these are my honest opinions.
