Adas, my blog is currently running on Godaddy’s server and so far I’d have to say it’s good. Not much to complain about yet. 3 more months for the godaddy test. I’ll post an update when the time comes.

I really appreciate the further information. I see that there’s also a 97-day money back guarantee. That gives me a little more assurance that I can get out if things don’t work for me.

I didn’t sign up for a 2 year account at first. I signed up for a 1 year and upgraded my pricing later on, when I better understood what I was dealing with. Actually, I chose the 3rd plan, when I upgraded, but I had to start cutting costs last summer for other reasons.

Coupons… Well, you can find coupons that reduce your costs to very little.
for example: if you pay for a year rate: about $120, then a promo of max discount would get you 97 off, leaving about $23 left for 12 months hosting. Not too shabby, eh?

There are websites that market such deals! My own discount would not be so generous, but then I’d be happy to provide after sales care as much as I can.

I’ve definitely looked into Dreamhost. My only beef is that the best rate requires 2-years prepaid. I’m curious what kind-of coupon you might have, though. I’m just reluctant to invest that much money in a company that I have no personal experience with.

Large bandwidth, large space (much bigger than other hosts, so great for photographs, etc). unlimited domains, too. I only pay $7.95 a month as prepaid for 2 years. Suits me well. Been with them nearly 3 years.

If you’re interested, I could provide a coupon to get a first year discount of that, though there are plenty of dreamhost coupons on the net.

Thanks for providing the information about NetFronts. I just checked into them. Unfortunately, I think $17.95/month for the webmaster plan is a bit high for my budget. Perhaps I’m being a tight-wad.

Their phone/email customer support is truly fantastic and in six years I can’t recall experiencing an outage–I’m sure they go down from time to time, as all hosts do, but I know they’re prepared to fix any problems the second they come up.
