Backup Your Data with Backup Platinum

Sponsored Post

I’ve written about the importance of backing up and ethical considerations involved. Today, I’d like to point out a backup program you might use.

Backup Platinum is a fully featured backup program that creates a safe repository of your critical data. This software can backup to DVD, CD-RW, FTP servers, or somewhere on your LAN.

Other selected features

Self-restorable executable files – This is a neat feature I haven’t seen before in backup software. Backup Platinum can create a handy file that is restorable by just executing it. This might be handy for a critical set of files you want to restore quickly.

Scheduler – Backups need to be automatic. If you rely on yourself, you’ll forget. Backup Platinum has a handy scheduler to ease your mind.

Pricing

Here’s my one complaint. Backup Platinum seems to be a great backup program. But it costs $67 per license (with discounts for larger volumes). There’s also a 30-day free demo you can try.

While Backup Platinum’s feature set is perfect, it seems a bit pricey to me. If you order over 100 licenses, they’re $39 a piece, but that still seems a bit steep.

But the big question is how much is your data worth? I know that mine is worth more than $67. In that respect, Backup Platinum is a great value. Just think of the time and money it would cost to replace everything, if you didn’t back it up.

This software sounds a lot like the much loved program,
    SyncBack
. I recommend the free version, which is fully functional and has many features. It also allows for backup to a variety of mediums.

I’m glad you have a backup recommendation. Very nice.

I’ve found SyncBack pretty useful as well. And you can’t beat free. ;)
