PayPerPost Uses Market Segmentation to Increase Payouts
Sponsored Post
A while ago I wrote about some changes PayPerPost implemented in their blogger system. Now it’s time to highlight another interesting one: market segmentation.
PayPerPost now tracks the Google PageRank and Alexa stats for all of its registered blogs. Also, every blog must be filed into discrete categories related to the blog’s topics. This allows advertisers to target different aspects of the internet market. There were a few bugs in the system to begin with, but I think things are working well now.
What this means for advertisers is that you can get more bang for your buck. If your message goes more directly to your target demographic, the advertising should be more fruitful in the end.
The good news for bloggers is that advertisers are willing to pay more for this. It’s now not uncommon to see PayPerPost opportunities for $75, $150, or even $1,000! The catch is that your blog usually must have a higher PageRank (such as 6-7) to accept one of these opportunities. However, there are some decent opportunities for $10-20 for blogs with PageRank of only 3 or 4. It’s now easier to make money blogging.
Another interesting thing to point out is that PayPerPost now requires some form of disclosure from all bloggers. For example, the gray image you see directly below is required for me writing this post. That’s transparent, right?
If you’re interested in checking out PayPerPost, you can sign up through the “get paid to review my post” badge below. You’ll earn $7.50 for doing so, and they’ll give me $7.50 for referring you.

Pro Se,
PayPerPost can be a decent way to earn money from blogging. But, you probably won’t find many opportunities very closely related to your blog. Then it would be up to you whether or not you post things off topic to make some money.
Take care,
Andrew
