Jason,

I love the idea of importing from a spreadsheet. I think I can get into that habit. It would definitely be good in the long-term.

Take care,
Andrew

I understand - that's when you get into the mode of taking care of your job while neglecting your career (as others have said on my blog). But if you just make an effort to keep track of the people you meet each day, or week, that might have an impact on your career, keep a list of them and at the end of the week put their info into JibberJobber (I do this by importing a spreadsheet - lots easier than typing them in one by one). Believe it or not, lots of people do this, whether they use JibberJobber or not. These are the folks that have less to fear about long term unemployment than the rest of us!

I really appreciate your input on keeping up with JibberJobber use. Honestly, that's going to be the hardest part. It's difficult to keep the contingency plan going, when you have a job you like. But I plan to do my best at it.

Happy New Year,
Andrew

Andrew, I sincerely appreciate the time you have put into these three posts about JibberJobber. Now that you have your job I'd like to mention one more thing - its a great time to continue to use JibberJobber. Keep those relationships up, use the birthday reminder, use tags to create e-mail lists (for Christmas, or customers, for example). Use JibberJobber to manage key relationships, track "target companies" that you are watching, and if and when you find yourself in a job search you'll have a rich database at your fingertips, a database that tells you how strong your relationships are, and key contact information with people that you have kept in touch with.

Here's to an awesome 2007!
