LawyerSeek – Law Firm’s Unique Website

Sponsored Post

If you have looked at many law firm websites, you know they look basically the same. Pick a color scheme, put a bunch of lawyer’s names and practice areas up, and you’re golden. It helps to have fancy graphics and a nifty map that shows little dots representing the firm’s empire.

LawyerSeek takes a different approach to law firm website design. At first glance, you wouldn’t realize the website belongs to a law firm. In fact, you might think it is purely an information/news service.

When you look closer, you realize LawyerSeek is a product of Seeger Weiss LLP, a complex litigation firm based in New York. Tabs up at the top show the typical firm pages: practice areas, attorney, profile, etc. However, the right side of the page displays a list of dozens of personal injury lawsuit-sources: pharmaceuticals, toxic substances, medical injuries, etc.

In a nutshell, LawyerSeek provides you information regarding different types of harm. On each page, you will see a way to contact the attorneys at Seeger Weiss. As a token of tech-saviness, they also have bookmark icons for del.icio.us and YahooMyWeb.

Critique of the method

You’ve got to give creativity points to Seeger Weiss. More importantly, they’re providing some useful information for people who might have legal claims.

The flip side is that potential clients might be confused by LawyerSeek’s method. It’s fairly obvious that the site is run by a law firm, but only after closer inspection. This tactic might blur the boundary between law firm advertising and misleading people.

What do you think of this approach? Has Seeger Weiss hit on the new way to market online? Or is LawyerSeeker a dud? Share your thoughts; post a comment or drop me a line.
