A blog allows your firm to show that you are current. It also shows that you care. It takes time to keep a blog updated on the current happenings in a given area. When you do it, the public appreciates it and keeps coming back for more. And before you know it, cases start coming in, because you have positioned yourself as an authority on a given subject. I think that you are right in that organizations are weak in asserting their online position. It is not just about having a blog(welcome that would be) but in actively having the confidence to address allegations which have been made.
